How Do I Prepare for LED Light Therapy?
There is no special preparation required prior to your appointment. Simply arrive with clean skin that has not been exposed to excessive heat sources such as sunbathing, saunas or vigorous exercise immediately before treatment.
What Happens During an LED Light Therapy Treatment?
LED Light Therapy is completely painless and many clients find the treatment deeply relaxing. You will be provided with protective eyewear before lying comfortably on the treatment bed while the LED device is positioned over the treatment area.
Treatment typically lasts approximately 20 minutes. You may experience a gentle warming sensation, however the treatment should not cause any discomfort.
What Happens After LED Light Therapy?
There is no downtime following LED Light Therapy and most clients return to normal activities immediately after treatment.
You may experience mild temporary flushing due to increased circulation and cellular activity, which typically settles within 20 minutes.
Following treatment we recommend:
• Applying SPF 50+ daily and avoiding unnecessary sun exposure.
• Staying well hydrated to support your skin's healing and rejuvenation processes.
• Avoiding excessive heat exposure including saunas, hot baths, direct sun exposure and intense exercise for 24 hours following treatment. -
